Finbooks Lab is the space inside Finbooks where you can take part in surveys, interviews and feedback requests, and see what we have built thanks to our customers.
In this article you'll find out how to access it, what it is and what you can do with it.
How to access Finbooks Lab
Finbooks Lab is available to all logged-in users. To open it:
in the side menu, click on the profile box at the bottom
from the secondary menu, click on Finbooks Lab, placed together with the other options such as Services and Account
When there are new initiatives for you, a novelty indicator appears on the menu item and on the profile box. It disappears as soon as you open the Finbooks Lab page.
What Finbooks Lab is
Finbooks Lab brings together all the user research initiatives run by Finbooks (surveys, interviews and feedback requests) in one place. It also shows you which features we have built thanks to the contributions of our customers.
At the top of the page you'll find a pink header with the Finbooks Lab logo, a short claim, some key numbers and a short checklist. Below the header, the page is divided into two tabs:
Ongoing initiatives, the initiatives you can take part in right now
What came from you, the features built from customer feedback
What you can do in Finbooks Lab
Take part in ongoing initiatives
Ongoing initiatives is the tab shown by default. Next to its name you'll see a counter with the number of initiatives available to you.
Each initiative is displayed as a card with a title, a description, an image and one or two buttons. Clicking a button opens an external page in a new tab, where you can complete a survey, book an interview or give your feedback.
Initiatives are personalised: you only see the ones relevant to your profile, so different users may see different initiatives.
If there are no initiatives available for you at the moment, the tab shows an empty state with the counter at 0. New initiatives will appear here over time.
ℹ️ Rewards for participating
Some selected initiatives offer rewards, such as credits or vouchers. The details of the reward, if there is one, are shown in the initiative itself.
Discover what came from you
The Built from your feedback tab shows the features we built from customer feedback. This tab is the same for all users.
Each block has a title, a line showing how many customers contributed (for example "+200 customers provided feedback") and a Read more button, which opens the related article on finbooks.com in a new tab.
