Read this article to learn what the Connection Lock/Unlock feature is and how to use it in your account.
ℹ️ Asset price tracking of locked connections
Locking a connection does not stop the fiat value of its assets from reflecting market price changes over time.
When a connection is locked, price tracking remains active, so the fiat value of the assets will continue to reflect their current market prices. However, the connection itself will not receive any new transaction or balance updates.
In other words, locking a connection freezes its data, but it does not freeze the price of the assets held in that connection.
What is the Connection lock/unlock
Finbooks allows users to lock a connection to exclude it from future updates and preserve its data exactly as it is at the time of locking.
This feature is particularly useful for wallets, exchanges, or brokers that have not been used for a long time and whose historical data you want to keep without triggering unnecessary updates. Locking a connection can help avoid potential errors and reduce update times by preventing Finbooks from processing data that is no longer relevant.
The connection can be unlocked at any time and restored to its normal update process whenever it is used again and its data needs to be updated and synchronized.
